About Nabi

I remember my grandmother back home during the pandemic. Stay-at-home and social distancing mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic have forced nearly everyone, including my grandmother, to become more socially isolated than ever before. When I recall images of my grandmother at home during the pandemic, she was always calling her friends on the phone, watching the same channel over and over again, or sleeping. Having mobility issues also made her difficult to even go on a short walk. 

Not only my grandmother, but a lot of seniors have difficulties maintaining familial contact because of various reasons, including retirement, fewer social connections, and geographically dispersed families. A research shows that social isolation increases risk for depression, cognitive decline, and dementia, as well as the ability to conduct activities of daily living.

And that is the reason why I came up with Nabi. 

Nabi is a book delivery service for isolated seniors. Nabi works to connect seniors to the world and ensure that seniors live with dignity, purpose and grace.
